Breiavatnet is in the heart of Stavanger. The lake is only a short stroll from the Cathedral School and the Cathedral, the train station is also near by. Breiavatnet is a small lake and is not very deep. The lake gets its water from a stream, which runs through the city, mostly underground. There is a decorative fountain in the middle of the lake, which was working when we visited, made the lake interesting and worth looking at. The lake is home to a variety of birds, such as swans, seagulls, ducks, and sparrows. Did not see any fish in the water. It was really nice strolling around the park and it’s lake, thankfully it was not raining. There are plenty of seats around to sit, relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity.
